Natus Vincere are the fourth side to have progressed to the quarter-finals at ESWC despite a surprising 17-13 defeat to Fair Frag.
The Ukrainian giants were in serious elimination danger after losing to BURNING earlier today, and they proved French opposition is their kryptonite as they recorded a second defeat.
With an uninspired Yegor "markeloff" Markelov, who reached a score of 0-10 in the first half, Na'Vi saw themselves unable to impose their will on the game, losing the match 17-13 after being down 9-6 at halftime. The other spot went to BURNING, who moved past every opponent in good fashion.
In the other group, mTw showed they are back on the top with a perfect 3-0 record, while Frag eXecutors bounced back from their initial defeat to mTw and beat both mousesports and Evil Geniuses to earn a spot in the quarter-finals.
Qualified teams:
BURNING!
Natus Vincere
mTw
Frag eXecutors
Coming up are groups C and D, which will kick off at 15.30 CET. You can follow all of our coverage of the tournament here.
